Kristin Shepelwich
Kristin Shepelwich, founding partner, has a calming nature and an eye for design. Her sweet personality keeps clients returning from one child to the next as they become engaged. Kristin loves the small details of events that make them unique and unforgettable to guests. Graduating in 2000 with her Bachelors degree of Science and Education, Kristin founded AK Event Design in 2003. “I’m always asked what sets AK Event Design apart from other wedding planning companies. I think it is our true passion for our clients and our desire to make their wedding day perfect,” said Kristin about AK Event Design. Kristin enjoys spending quality time with her husband of eleven years and her three sweet boys.
Sarah Herman
Sarah Herman prides herself on her organization skills and attention to detail. Her bubbly personality and ability to calm a brides wedding day jitters are always traits complimented on by clients. You rarely see Sarah without a smile on her face! Graduating from Southwest Texas State University in 2003 with her degree in Interior Design, Sarah worked for some on the top design firms in Dallas. Only after planning her own wedding did her passion lead her to event planning. “I loved the planning process and using my degree to make the space visually appealing,” said Sarah about her own wedding. In the fall of 2005, Sarah became a partner of AK Event Design and has loved every minute of it! When Sarah’s not working, you will find her hanging out with her husband of nine years and her five-year-old twins.
